NY Bar Exam Test-Taking Tips

From Bar/Bri Bar Review

Tip #14

Should I use abbreviations in my essay answers?

You can use widely-accepted abbreviations, such as b/c for because, w/in for within, etc. Always define your abbreviation the first time you use it, such as "because (b/c)." DO NOT create an abbreviation key for the grader. Remember, you want to make your paper as easy to read as possible.
