CHICAGO — McDermott, Will & Emery has hired its first pro bono counsel, picking up a former Sidley Austin associate in Chicago to fill the post.
The firm hired Latonia Haney Keith for the job of pro bono and community service counsel, which will entail strengthening ties to pro bono referral agencies, facilitating community service initiatives, and identifying community service and pro bono partnership opportunities with clients.
Keith, who was most recently at Sidley, clerked for U.S. Appellate Judge Judith Roberts in the District of Columbia Circuit prior to entering private practice. She also has taught at Northwestern University School of Law. Keith graduated from Harvard Law School and attended the University of Iowa for undergraduate studies.
